Cabbage Soup Diet

How do we compare to Cabbage Soup Diet?

Cabbage Soup Diet Overview

This low-fat, high-fiber Cabbage Soup Diet promises a loss of up to 10 pounds in one week. It is not suitable for long-term weight loss and should be followed for only seven days. The recipe for the namesake cabbage soup includes a variety of vegetables as well as cabbage. Although Cabbage Soup Diet provides a good kick-start to more moderate diets, some people find the soup bland and report feeling light-headed and weak.

Cabbage Soup Diet is fairly rigid: On day one, followers can eat all of the fruit they want -- except bananas -- and soup. The second day, dieters are allowed fresh, raw or cooked vegetables along with soup and a baked potato with butter, but no fruit. The third day is a mixture of the first and second day, with soup, fruits and vegetables allowed, but no baked potato. Day four allows as many as eat bananas and as much skim milk as are desired, along with soup. The fifth day is devoted to beef and tomatoes, with as much as 20 ounces of beef allowed along with as many as six fresh tomatoes and a great deal of water and at least one serving of soup. Day six allows as much beef and vegetables as are desired, but no potatoes. The final day of the diet advises followers to stuff themselves with brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables, along with at least one serving of soup.

Generally speaking, almost everyone loses weight during the week on Cabbage Soup Diet, and then regains it back (and often more) after coming off it.

How does Diet of Nature compare to Cabbage Soup Diet?

Cabbage Soup Diet is very different from Diet of Nature.

While Diet of Nature focuses on manipulating your storage hormones through smart selection of foods, Cabbage Soup Diet's underlying principle is to make you eat less.

Diet of Nature actually encourages you to eat more - without the storage hormones turned on this food can only be converted to more energy for you! So while hunger is your constant companion on Cabbage Soup Diet, it does not exist for you at all on Diet of Nature.

Because of nutrient deficiency, people on Cabbage Soup Diet lose not only fat, but also significant amount of muscle mass. While on Diet of Nature your body becomes lean and beautiful, the Cabbage Soup Diet makes it skinny but still a bit fat. However after the week on Cabbage Soup Diet the weight you regain is predominantly fat - the muscle mass is lost forever.

Unlike Cabbage Soup Diet you can easily follow Diet of Nature for the rest of your life: there is no hunger and no deprivation - you can eat as much as you like as often as you like. The more you eat, the more energy you have, and the more successful you become!
